Winter at Panorama brings legendary Purcell Powder to the mountain slopes to be enjoyed via the nine lifts including 2 high-speed quads, or on an unforgettable heli-skiing adventure. The ski terrain within the resort area is ideal for intermediate skiers & riders, with enough off-piste adventure in Taynton Bowl to keep the adrenaline junkie in your family howling with delight.

When the days get longer, and the snow melts away, Panorama Resort welcomes you to enjoy the splendor of mountain vistas as you kick back and relax in your mountainside retreat. Whether you are exploring the extensive network of lift-accessed mountain bike trails, touring the links at Greywolf Golf Course, rafting the Kickinghorse River, hiking amongst the alpine wildflowers, or exploring the mountains on horseback or ATV, Panorama has what you are looking for.
The intimate alpine village at Panorama Resort is located just 2 hours drive West from Banff Alberta, and about 3.5 hours from Calgary International Airport. During your stay at Panorama, you can also explore nearby attractions, including the Radium and Fairmont Hot Springs, Kickinghorse Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, Banff and Lake Louise. In addtion to the award winning golf at Panorama’s Greywolf course, you’ll find over a dozen classic courses within an easy drive of your resort home.

ON THE SLOPES
Families and Kids
Begin making memories in the Discovery Zone, this dedicated area with its magic carpets, platter lift and chair lift it is the perfect place for first timers and families to begin linking those turns.
Intermediate skiers and boarders of every level will find a run they will enjoy. With over 55% of terrain marked as blue, the runs vary from wide open groomers to mellow glade runs. The Sun Bowl offers a great number of blue runs to keep you carving all day.
For more adventure venture into the Taynton Bowl. Formerly a heli-skiing area, Taynton Bowl is now within bounds with 750 acres of all black runs it is a great place to find hidden powder stashes.
OFF THE SLOPES
With over 32,000 acres of terrain to explore, from first timers to seasoned riders you will be sure to have the snowmobile tour of a lifetime. Drive your own sled or double with a buddy. Drivers must be 16 years or older and passengers a minimum of 5 years old.
Float on top of the snow making waves through the forest in the winter on snowshoes. Easy to learn and a fun way to be outside, explore the trails on your own or join a snowshoe tour and follow a guide to new adventures off the slopes.
Winter biking? For sure! If you have your own or rent one from the shop, head out onto the trails and explore the valley in the winter a whole new way.
Slide into the evening with this great activity.
Do a couple spins on the rink. Surrounded by beautiful mountains this is a great spot to enjoy the outdoors both day and night. Skate rentals are available from Mountain Outfitters.
When the days get longer might as well get a few extra laps in.
Activities and Events
After the lifts have shut for the day join many activities happening throughout the resort. With daily activities hosted regularly there will be something to keep you busy, from making your own wood burning craft to the ultimate Canadian experience of the Maple Taffy, join the apres fun around the resort.
A winter experience like none other. Take a deep breath as you take flight over Panorama and experience spectacular 360 degree views of the Purcell and Rocky Mountain ranges. Intermediate and above skiers only.
Looking to see the mountain the way the locals do? Join the Mountain Friends for a complementary on slope tour, they will be your guide to the best terrain of the day, where to find the epic turns.
Find more than 20 km of groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing. Enjoy scenic trails along Toby Creek, venture out on a 12km loop to the Hale Hut Warming Cabin and experience unforgettable views in the mountains.
Kicking Horse Day Trips

Springs Hot Pools
The Panorama Springs Pools are the ultimate apres spot. Enjoy slopeside hot pools to relax after a big day on the hill. With a warm pool, two hot tubs and a sauna, the Springs Pools will get have you rejuvenated and ready for another day on the slopes.
This unique little gem is a crowd favourite. Surprise that sweet tooth with your candy of choice or seasonal items for that special someone.
Take home souvenirs, grab a pair of gloves you have forgotten or check out the latest demos on the market. There are shops through out the village that will be able to get you some new gear or a goodie to remember your trip to the mountains.
BARS and RESTAURANTS
The 12 resort restaurants, cafes and pubs there is always a place to recharge for another day in the mountains.
T-Bar and Grill
Cold pints, live music, this is the spot for a laid back apres or late-night party. When the lifts close T-Bar and Grill is where you go to share your tales of the day, grab some pub food favorites and party the night away.
Enjoy a variety of freshly made baked good, homemade soups and delicious sandwiches. This is also a great stop first thing in the morning for a steaming cup of locally roasted coffee and tasty breakfast.
Located in the heart of the resort delight in this casual fine dining experience inspired by Canadian cuisine and local flavours.
More than just a coffee shop. Mouthwatering baked goods and enticing grab and go items will accompany that freshly made cup of joe.
